Today the Dutch went to the polls to elect a new parliament. Polls suggest a nose to nose between the Liberal party led by Mark Rutte and the Labour party’s Diederik Samsom.
«Does the Netherlands need a new voting system to stop the Italianisation of Dutch politics?» asks columnist Wilco Boom. He points out that the last time a Dutch cabinet lasted the full four years was back in 1994-98.
